Ten years of enterprise software engineering, in permanent engineering roles, before Almas existed.
Almas is a new company built on ten years of enterprise software engineering. That decade was spent inside established organisations, building and running the systems they depend on day to day — not consulting from the outside, and not delivered under the Almas name.
Most of that work was document management: large, long-lived systems handling ingestion, classification, search, permissions, retention and audit across records that outlast the people who created them. Around it came booking systems for travel and hospitality, legal case and matter systems, banking and fintech platforms, and risk management software — environments where correctness, access control and a defensible audit trail are requirements rather than features.
Almas exists to bring that standard of engineering to organisations that need serious software without an enterprise-scale programme around it. We are deliberately small. The people who scope your work are the people who build it.
We're honest about where we are. Almas has its own projects and demonstrations rather than a decade of client logos, and we show them as exactly that. We work directly with the people running the business, we say when off-the-shelf software is the better answer, and we build when it genuinely isn't.

Risk management
Risk and control platforms: exposure and obligation tracking, rule-driven assessment, escalation, and reporting that has to stand up to internal and external scrutiny.
Legal systems
Matter, case and evidence workflows with strict process, deadline and record-keeping requirements, and tight control over who can see and change what.
Travel & hospitality booking
Booking and reservation systems handling availability, pricing and high transaction volume, with integrations into multiple third-party platforms.
